Third edition of the Iliad, printed in the Koine Greek vernacular, the work of Nikolaos Loukanis and first printed in 1526, again in Venice. The book is adorned with abundant woodcuts representing the heroic deeds of the Achaeans during the siege of Troy. The artist who cut these woodcuts was an Italian named Carnesecca and they are a typical example of Renaissance design.
